Wodehouse Client Win Prestigious Charity of the Year Award

Muslim Global Relief, based in Nelson Lancashire, have won “Charity of the Year” at the British Muslim Awards for their outstanding achievements and general contribution to society. MGR have spent the past year working on their One Village at a Time project, which carries out numerous small-scale projects across Ghana, Indonesia, Pakistan, Gambia, India and Palestine, providing communities with sustainable development solutions such as safe drinking water and orphan education sponsorships.

Muslim Global Relief make it their personal mission to kick start development in remote villages around the world. It is their goal to provide simple solutions to create a lasting, positive impact on rural communities tackling poverty.

MGR also recently supported the Rohingya situation in Myanmar, and provided emergency relief to Muslims in refugee camps near Sittwe. The crisis program includes rice distribution, medical aid and shelter construction. On top of this, animals, seeds and fertiliser are also provided to create a sustainable food supply.
